The 1970’s hit TV show “Love Boat” was actually filmed on a Princess ship and made Americans ready for the romance of a cruise vacation. Princess Cruise Line targets middle budget travelers with the slogan “Affordable Luxury”.
Although Princess has been in business for four decades, the fleet is modern, with five ships introduced in the late 1990’s and six new ships. Their fleet is composed predominantly of large ships with six ships carrying 2,600 passengers each. The five mid-size ships accommodate nearly 2,000 passengers each while the four Explorer Class ships carry slightly less than 700 guests.
Princess Cruise Line sails throughout the world, stopping at a whopping 260 destinations and over 150 cruises to choose from, more than any other cruise line.
