This may not be the place to ask, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this outfit. A friend of mine is trying to get me to sign up, promising that I can make thousands of dollars selling vacation packages. I smell a scam, but for the life of me, can't find anything negative about this company on the internet.

You have to pay like $2000 but get a package worth $15,000. Then for every sale you make, you earn $1000. There's a guy in NC who says he made $60K with them so far. Even if you can't invest, they offer an "associates" membership where you share profits with your sponsor.

I hate multi-level marketing schemes, and never get into them, but I need an extra source of income and am tempted.

If anyone has any feedback on this company, I would certainly appreciate it.

I always ask myself "why are they going to give me $15000 worth of something for $2000?"

To be honest, I never trust anything that asks for money upfront. Legitimate companies just don't do that.

I wish I could give you more valuable advise, but I've never heard of them either.

I guess some people do make money on these things...by taking yours.

The alchemists of the 1300's figured out that they couldn't turn lead into gold. Put your $2000 towards a great cruise to the islands!

Strangely enough, I recently responded to an advertisement on Craigslist for a "wonderful" opportunity to make money at home by writing ads. I am a stay at home mom, and am always looking for such work. I received an email from a nice gentlemen who explained the program to me. All I had to do was spend $2000 or so and I would be named a Director. After some training, I would then be responsible to recruit new people and for everyone who joined, I would receive $1000. Sounds good, but there's one problem. I don't have $2000. I don't even have $200. Scam? Maybe. But I was unable to find anything on Google about Coastal and it does seem as though people are making money on this venture. If I had the money, I might take a chance, but I do not.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to all who responded. I have been watching for answers and appreciate your help. I also tried to find out if anyone had filed any kind of complaints about Coastal and couldn't. I am inclined to pass this up, although a little part of my brain doesn't want to give up the idea. But I know the multi level marketing scams don't work, and this does sound like it might be one of those.

I guess there's no such thing as a free lunch, right.

Thanks again.
