The closest I've come to Holland America is seeing their ships docked at the same port of call that I was at. These ships just have such a classic old-world charm about them. Carnival, Princess, Norwegian, etc. ships try to look sleek and modern in spite of their enormous size. Holland America keeps an air of dignity and refinement even in their design.
