St Thomas is obviously a USVI. You do not see the poverty or extent of run down living conditions there like you do on other Caribbean islands. Obviously, some of the money stays there that tourists bring in. We are not interested in going to a tropical island and seeing a Burger King or Radio Shack near the beach since it is more enjoyable to vacation where there is not so much commercialism. However, that does not mean there is not a lot to see at St Thomas. They have beautiful beaches and are close to St John and other islands that are in themselves, worth going to St Thomas for. We went to St John by Catamaran from St Thomas.

St. Thomas is beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice.
My sister went to St. John for her honeymoon and loved it. I believe she was able to take a ferry to and from each island. St. John looked peaceful. If you can go on a catamaran..you gotta do it!
