Couldn't help taking a picture of a resident monkey in Barbados. We took a tour away from Bridgetown.

It is too easy to get stuck downtown where all the merchants just want to sell you gold, watches, and other high end stuff.

Go see the island! Picture below is a money we saw and a friends of ours getting the whole tour guide treatment from a couple local guides on a catamaran tour we took. Fun!

The pictures look beautiful though. I don't mind a few monkeys vacationing with me.

This is where I saw my first island monkey! So cute!

Our first island monkey sighting just off the beach of (where else?) Monkey Island in Thailand. We also stopped at the Monkey God Temple on the way back, too. The tour brochure showed pictures of tourists feeding lots of cute monkeys there. However, it was near New Years and the locals beat us to the punch -- they fed the monkeys bananas in the morning for good luck. There was not a monkey to be seen. I fed my bananas to one of the temple dogs instead.

That's a really lovable creature. :D I bet it's really fun to see monkeys playing around in an island. That is a great view in the background of your friend's picture. I hope I can also go to Barbados in the future and experience these.
