There are tons of little bars/ restaurants on the island.
We totally recommend you go to Nesbit Plantation, Oualie Beach, Pinney's. Of course, most any beach side restaurant you try will be delicious.
On Pinney's Beach there are a few places to get great island food. My favorite - Chevy's. Gotta try the jerk chicken. The best! Along with the chicken (or your choice of food) comes rice and beans and salad.
On Oulaie Beach, you will find a wonderful, quaint and romantic little restaurant connected to the Oualie Beach Hotel. You don't need to stay there to enjoy the beach and food. As we frequented the restaurant, we were nicely welcomed by the executive chef and always asked how our meals were. How many places do that?? It was spectacular!
On Thursday nights, Nesbit Plantation has a buffet and music. The music is played by a seven piece band. First off is cocktail hour where you are greeted with a drink of chioce. Rum punch, choice of wine or both. It's very romantic as well as the sunset is the perfect backdrop for beautiful photographs.
If you intend to give it a try, remember that it should be a relaxing evening of drinking, food and later, music and dancing. Take your time and enjoy every moment. The food was not only plentiful but tasted out of this world. The buffet was full of the fresh fish and shrimp along with chicken, rice, local fruits etc.
Those were my favorite dinner spots. Anyone else have a favorite or two?
