It is certainly appreciated by the residents in Tortola that you may want to take pictures of their beautiful island. It is also appreciated if you show them respect and ask for their permission before taking pictures of them personally. Also, a simple courtesy of smiling and giving a greeting such as good morning or good day, is much appreciated, and of course the sentiment is returned!
