I recently read a few articles about Grenada. The area looks beautiful.
There were two things that looked like a fun tourist thing to do in Grenada.
The Riber Antoine Estate. The admission is only $2. It's supposedly the oldest distillery in the Caribbean. And the pictures show that it looks like it. Very small and run down place but it sounds like they make great rum. The process is very long and complicated.
Sounds like some of the rum is very powerful - being 75%-80% alcohol. The demand for the island in this rum cannot be met so it must be some good stuff.
There is a 138 proof rum they make for export.
I wondered if anyone has tried the "powerful" rum or even been to the distillery? What did you think? Is it worth it??

To add a special incentive - there are free tastings included in the $2 fee.
