The grand Royal Victoria Hotel was at one time "the place" in the Bahamas. Built during the civil war, it closed its doors in 1971. Not long after, it was nearly destroyed in a fire. Now all that is left behind are the gardens, and pillars and stones. It's landscape now looks like Roman ruins amidst a botanical garden.
