Cunard is such a luxury line that I thought it would be totally unaffordable to a 'normal' person. I had a look on their site after reading about the coming Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth 2 transatlantic voyages, and they seem to offer a huge range of prices for different passenger classes.

Apparently their restraunt seating differs depending on the class of booking, but beyond that you have pretty much free run of the ship.

Has anyone cruised on Cunard ships? What is it like? Did you travel 3rd / 4th fare? I'm curious if you still enjoy a good service when you book like that.

That is exactly my same question. . . We've looked at Cunard's Caribbean Celebration (December 19, 2008 - January 3, 2009) on the Queen Mary 2. Anyone done this? I'm still a bit apprehensive about a Chirstmas cruise. Any word on that either?

I can't think of a better cruise than on a Cunard at Christmas (whoa, alliteration abounding!). It's facus on tradition and all that Englishness. I think I might even smell chestnuts roasting by a fire on that one.
