How do you get information about a timeshare in Aruba? I've never been approached about that before?

The time share industry is a hot tourist industry throughout the Antilles. If you decide to go this route, you will want to make certain you have a contract that includes "non-disturbance or perpetuity protective clause". This clause gives you a claim to ownership if the facility is sold. You also won't want to put down a chunk of money without doing your homework -- a lot of owners say that time-share units are not adequately maintained, even though there are high annual maintenance fees.

Pretty much all you will need to do to get information on timeshares is set foot on the island. At least that was true a couple of years back. Around all the major tourist attractions there were more people hawking timeshare presentations than you could shake a stick at.
