After more than a year of anticipation, Royal Caribbean is already seeing their dream come true, as the final year for the ship’s outfitting starts in only a matter of weeks. After having sailed on at least seven cruises over the last several years we are finally going to sail on a Carnival Cruise ship. It seems we found ourselves stuck in a rut having been influenced by what is now, ancient history in the cruising world. After looking for a nice itinerary for this coming February, 2009 we have settled on the Carnival Glory sailing February 21st out of Fort Lauderale, Florida. On October 2009, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines retired its 441-passenger vessel called Black Prince. Having been around for forty-two years, Black Prince was originally built for the Flender Werft Company of Lubeck in the year 1966. Black Prince will be part of a series of four Farewell Cruises in 2009, with itinerary dates starting on September 9, 2009 from Liverpool, and then ending as the ship returns to Southampton on October 16, 2009.
