Costa Romantica

Costa Romantica is one product of Carnival Corporation that sailed in 1993. It has 13 decks labeled after a European city, thereby implicating its Italian base. All amenities are made for comfort and entertainment of passengers while on board. Its ambiance exemplifies in most of the stairway landings made of marble and rooms with a panoramic view of the sea. In each cabin, there is a vanity drawer, chair, coffee table, credenza (as a minibar), television set, and a service table. The room’s color gives a warm tone due to the cherry veneer and inset lighting. Costa Romantica also offers her Panorama Suites because the bedroom level overlooking the seas. Panoramic Suites have bathrooms with Jacuzzi and elegant balconies.

Here are some of the cruise ship’s amenities:

Deck 8 has the Roman Catholic Chapel, the Pizzeria Italia, Internet Center, card rooms, library, and meeting rooms. Situated at the chapel are the icon of Virgin Mary, Stations of the Cross, and a freestanding altar. Card rooms contain four bridge tables and the library separated according to languages: Italian, German, French, Spanish, English, and Portuguese that gives passengers an hour access to their range of books each day. Pizzeria Italia gives an Italian atmosphere due to its resemblance to a piazza.

Opera Theatre at Deck 9 offers visual entertainment such as a performance of resident song and dance troupe. Its design contours of a Roman amphitheater with an audience sitting in a stadium form. It has two level show lounges with comfortable seats. Meanwhile, a Macedonian couple plays music to sing and dance with at the Tango Lounge.

The ship’s Opera Bar at Deck 9 is the only indoor smoking area while Juliet’s bar is the ship’s wine bar offering Italy’s best set of wines. Romeo’s Bar that gives a larger pizzeria for passengers.

Deck 10 comprises of two swimming pools for adults, four hot tubs, Ping-pong table, and saunas separated for males, females, and mixed. The gym and spa is situated at Deck 11. Equipments inside their gym provide standard machines such as stationary bicycling, rowing, resistance training, cross country skiing, and free weights. There is also a good walking and jogging area near the gym. Steiner Leisure operates the ship’s spa offering Elemis Face and Body Therapy, Aromapure Massage, and Deep Tissue Massage.

Costa Romantica’s main dining room is located at Deck 8. Boticelli Restaurant takes pride in providing passengers a list of delicious menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Interestingly, the lighting at night serves two: plain room darkening shades made for ordinary dinners and a festive lighting comprised of Costa posters. Tables are mostly for a number of eight passengers. Another restaurant is located at Deck 10 called Il Giardino that offers a buffet style. To make service efficient, the restaurant divided it into stations. Customers can sit at areas made of attractive wicker furniture. They can also have a pleasurable dining outdoors at La Terraza with wooden tables and padded chairs.

Costa Romantica proves to be a child-friendly ship, as they established the Squok Club for kids. This is a line of programs for children separated into schedules and ages. Children’s rooms are filled with enjoying, colorful materials.
