Micronesia

The common misconception is that Micronesia is an island itself but the opposite is actually true. Micronesia is actually a chain of islands that consists of 10 solitary bits of land and one large grouping of small islands. This makes up the mass of lands that is known as Micronesia. The grouping of islands has come together over the course of time as the islands have come under different rulers at intervals over the centuries. This has made it difficult for the grouping to have any kind of stability but in time they all made amends to fall under the proper jurisdiction. There is much in the way of diversity on the Micronesia island chain. Each of the islands has been through many hands over the course of time. Some of the islands are predominantly English, while others are French, while others yet are US based. No matter what, each of the islands is setup for the tourist trade in most instances. This is why one can find any number of languages while visiting. Each of the islands in this chain is full of activities that are perfect for the tourists. Ancient villages still stand and make for some wonderful site seeing. The native villages that are dotted across the landscape provide vast amounts of entertainment as well. Ceremonies, festivals and crafts are all part of the experience.
