Mexico

There are many reasons as to why Mexico is one of the favourite destinations of vacationers everywhere. If your only encounter of Mexican culture is its distinct cuisine, you are definitely missing out.

Located between the United States of America (at the north) and Guatemala and Belize (at the south) with a city population of around 20 million people, Mexican culture is both mysterious and filled with fascinating history.

Aside from its number of hot deserts and tropical rainforests, as well as being surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and both the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, it’s climate can indeed be varied. It is a Spanish-speaking country renowned for its archaeological wonders, not least of all is The Great Pyramid or Templo Mayor of the Aztecs. For many, the diverse culture and traditions of the Mexican people continue to fascinate, and diving head-first into its native traditions is the only way to truly appreciate the unique experience that is Mexico.

The people of Mexico are deeply spiritual and creative; one only has to experience the Mexicans’ “day of the dead” festival, when death is given its own holiday.

Aside from its colourful history and traditions, Mexico also has all the ingredients that make every vacation complete. Sailing, camping, climbing, kayaking, snorkeling, and surfing are but a few of the fun activities to indulge in. Make sure to check out its excellent handicrafts and visit the galleries showing the local talent to ensure that your vacation not only is educational but more importantly, fun!
