Norwegian Pearl Passenger Overboard Near Cancun

Various news agencies have reported that 36 year old Jennifer Seitz fell overboard at about 8:00 PM Christmas Day (December 25th, 2008) while cruising on the Norwegian Pearl. Jennifer and her husband were apparently celebrating their one year marriage with this cruise that is described as their belated honeymoon.
Mexican Navy vessels searched for the lost passenger near Cancun while the US Coast Guard made wide search efforts of the southeastern sections of the Gulf of Mexico. Searches had been cancelled by the time of this report.

It seems we found ourselves stuck in a rut having been influenced by what is now, ancient history in the cruising world.
